These builders attained Platinum Net-Zero certification in January 2018 through our nonprofit’s Green Built Homes program.
Representing the newest level of Green Built Homes certification, these net-zero energy homes not only meet all the requirements of the general certification checklist (which has above-code standards for materials use, site sustainability, water conservation, indoor air quality, and appliances), but also include enough renewable-energy features (typically in the form of solar photovoltaics) to achieve a HERS rating of 15 or lower.
