This project was a partial renovation including an all new kitchen and master bathroom suite. The existing rooms were completed gutted and reconfigured. The project was located in a high-rise condo. Some of the challenges including moving around plumbing pipes and finding a way to relocate the toilet. All of the plumbing fixtures were relocated to new locations. The Client was an art collector and wanted the condo to have a gallery feel. White and gray provide a neutral palate for the art on display. Wood flooring was used for all of the living areas.

The owner’s wanted the kitchen to be as open as possible. We opted for the U-shape design that was most efficient. No wall cabinets were installed to keep the space open and to take full advantage of the panoramic city view. Glossy white cabinets with white quartz tops were used. The glossy cabinet finish reflects the light outside and make the room feel larger by reflecting the view. All appliances were carefully selected to either be hidden or have a minimalist look. Shallow profile recessed lights were used to maximize the ceiling height.

The master bathroom suite was the most difficult part of the project. The entire bedroom, closet and bathroom was gutted to reimagine the space. All plumbing and electrical was relocated to create an expansive bathroom connected to the bedroom with an oversized sliding pocket door. White floor and white marble tile walls give the room an expansive feel. Bleached grey rift cut oak wood veneer cabinetry with white quartz provides the only contrasting element to the room. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower (no door), a vessel tub, sauna and private water closet area.
