A modern renovation to a typical suburban ranch house.
The intention of the client was to keep part of existing house as it is because budget concerns. The marriage between the two structures is provided by a modern arch/bridge that links the existing with the new. The addition includes a master suite and a new kitchen where a previous solarium separated from the house was.

Because the house is located next to a county park, it has beautiful unobstructed views of the forest and the addition engages the exterior as part of the design having glass as the only separation between the exterior and interior. A generous sized deck was added for entertaining and to the lower existing patio .
